Our wonderful DT and Blog Hop Coordinator Michelle let me play so I get to share a project Yey!!
This card uses the Pointy Poinsettia digital cutting files which were coloured by sponging on distress inks and pencilling in veins. I also scored the veins.
I MADE MY OWN EMBOSSING FOLDER! YEY!
The backdrop was made with the Fancy Doily Snowflake cutting files. I made my own embossing plate from cereal boxboard and podge glue. I got the instructions from the oh so awesome Melissa McCarthy ( Melstampz ) HERE. The recipe I used was one boxboard layer for base and 2 layers of the cut snowflake although I would try this technique with one layer first and see how it works for you. The cuttlebug sandwich was A plate +B plate + embossing plate + thick paper( or thin CS) + embossing mat + B plate and see how it goes through. For deeper embossing you can try a CS shim but test and DON'T force anything through your diecut machines or you could break your machine!
MY SECRET WORD is " WINTER" Now please go to NANCY's blog for your next stop :)
