Hey all!
Just an update on the status of the store :) and dropping off an old freebie :D
I have been waiting for a third party selling service to be ready. It is finally working. I am currently editing EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT on the Fred She Store by hand and reuploading everything so I can offer instant downloads. I will be using Payhip and instant Buy Now buttons. They will handle the nasty EU VAT. Currently, I can't offer a shopping cart on the store or discount codes. I have heard from Payhip that it is coming ( cart discounts ). I was waiting for their shopping cart feature to be ready only to find out it won't work via my blog store BUT....
You can go here Fred She Said PAYHIP SITE and see all the products I have currently got loaded. At this site, you CAN use a shopping cart. Hopefully they will give me a way to organize products somewhere down the line... And gift certificates and total discounts.
I will continue to take email orders. I invoice manually and apply discounts I was always offering and gift certificates this way.
I was asked today about some tulip images I had. Doing some googling I have found out that the Operation Write Home freebie that I offered in 2010 "Tulip Trio" is no longer available. So, for posterity, I am plopping it here :)
Please feel free to grab it :) If you use it please comment below with a link. Or link or add photo to the Fred She Said Facebook Page! I'd love to see your projects!
Have a great day!
:)* Fred

A "Spring Card" & Free Cutting Files :)
Hi All!
Taxes all done! Woohoo! I have added some free cutting files to the STORE at THIS LINK. One of them is a freebie down below :)
I've been stencil happy lately! There is so much you can do with them.... including NOT using them as a stencil LOL...
For this card I used the stencil cutting file Doily Mandala 1 as a "cardfront".
I created a Spring Card Template cutting file to make this card. Just click the image below to get the download :)
The cutting file has dashed score lines that help to crease in the appropriate parts of the card. There are also mats for the base that cut out. I embossed the mats and inked with Bundled Sage distress inks. The mats for the spring card base are also inked and embossed. The flowers are from the Happy Flowers Digi Set and were coloured with NeoColor II watercolor crayons and a water brush. The butterfly is Ornate Butterfly Digi that was also coloured with NeoColor II's and glittered.
NOTE: To use the card template you don't need a cutting machine! The free Spring Card template also contains a PDF file that will print to your printer. Print on the wrong side of your card stock or use as a guide.
To fold the card, crease on the dashed fold lines. Fold like below :)
TIP: You can size the card template to any size. It is set currently for 5" wide and it would fit any round cardfront or diamond front between 5 and 5 1/2" in diameter.
Have a great day!

Sponsor and Guest DT - Penny's Challenges
Hi All!
Just here to show a card I made for Penny's Challenge in which Fred She Said is sponsoring today :)
The theme is "Back To School" ... back to school yikes! I am sure I am not the only one who anticipates as well as despises our kids going back to school LOL. I am so not ready... and yet I am soooo ready ROFL!
I used Nolan with a Sign and added a customized sentiment. I was scrambling as to what to have for a background paper so I quickly "painted" a super simple school bus and apple and rigged them up to make a patterned paper. I have included some freebies here - some Back To School Digital Papers and the bus and apple. Click on the images below then save the larger versions. If you have bought the Nolan with a Sign product and would like the customized sentiment, please email me and I'd be glad to send you the extra :)

Sponsoring: Bearly Mine Challenges and a Freebie!
Hi All!
Today Fred She Said is sponsoring the Bearly Mine Challenge Blog, featuring Donna's wonderful digital papers.
Some of the Fred She Said DT are playing along. The THEME is FLOWERS :) I thought I would take a crack at it:
I used Donna's FSS/BMD Summer's Roses Paper Set which can also be found at Donna's store. The flower and leaves are made from the Build a Floral Spray Digital Cutting File Set.
The Digital Freebie I have today is a TEMPLATE for the rectangular punched frame I used on the card above. What this is, is a rectangular template ( also cutting files ) with a matted opening in the center. It is sized perfectly for use with the Martha Stewart's Punch Around The Page punches. I have included a printable PDF and cutting files in SVG/GSD/DXF/Silhouette/Vector PDF. You need the punches though to use with the template! You can find the FREEBIE HERE (updated JUN/2017 link now works).
REMINDER: Fred She Said DT Showcase CONTEST is still on ;) with a $25 GC prize to a lucky commenter!
Have a great day!

Happy Valentine's Day
Hi All! Happy Valentine's Day! Just popping in between work! Just helped feed 36 ravenous children LOL!
Stuff has been out of the ordinary here. My DH was away working for most of last month and for the past few weeks. So I've been Mrs. Dad LOL! Lots of school projects, speeches and exams... and bugs! Since Christmas I kind of de-railed for lack of a better word. I'd sit at my desk ( when I had the time ) and nothing was coming. Mind you I have ALOT of half finished projects and designs and reworked ones! I finally completed a Valentine's image, but the week and weekend got busy and I was unable to finish the files on time.
As my Valentine's Day gift to you, I am posting the image in JPG in DIGI and pre-coloured for free until Sunday morning when I hope to get the "fully functioning" product with sheets and PNGs :). After Sunday you will be able to find it in the STORE. This limited time freebie also includes versions with no text on the heart.
Sorry, NO LONGER FREE.
You can DOWNLOAD IT HERE :) It's on 4Shared.com so you will have to click the PURPLE Download Now button and wait for the timer before you get a download link.
Next week there is going to be another version with a square sign coming out as well.
I should have new designs up soon!

Snowflake Tag & a Freebie
Hi all!
If you are looking for the Fred She Said Christmas Challenge go HERE.
Here are the details of my Snowflake tag project :)
For the tag, I drew a snowflake to use in my cutting machine.
***FREEBIE ALERT!***
I have a Digital Snowflake Freebie for you to download. It is on my box.com (UPDATED JUN 2017 link working)
DOWNLOAD SNOWFLAKE SVG PNG JPG FREEBIE
I have included an SVG cutting file, a black png for auto-tracing into your cutting software if you can't open SVG. Also a bunch of PNGs and coloured jpgs you can print and cut or design with.
I cut the snowflake out of cereal box board and painted with gesso, inked with a glue pad and applied glamour dust. I cut the backer out of card stock and sponged on some Iced Spruce distress ink. The image is Hat Tipping Snowman. I embellished with Stickles and a Viva Pearl Pen and MS Branch punch.
I'd like to thank DEBBIE and CAROL H for being on the Fred She Said DT. Sadly they are leaving and we will miss them and their wonderful contributions. I wish you both all the best - BIG HUGS!

News, Card, Freebie, Rosey & Nolan
Hey! I thought I'd post on my blog so you know I haven't forgot about you ;)
I got a new pocket camera FREE with my Visa Rewards points ( Nikon CoolPix L22 ) and I just got around to unloading some photos off it. I have a few cards I seriously need to post! LOL Does that happen to you? A backlog of card candy!!!
Anyhoo.. I will post some more as the week progresses. I found a quick "Man" card on there. I love spending an hour or so, every once in a while, making alcohol inked backgrounds. Great for fast cards or MAN cards LOL. I wish I remembered what inks I used on this one CUZ I love it!:
I am going to hazard a guess and say Copper mixative, Raisin and Butterscotch or Sandal. I made the Sentiment and you can snag it below ( PNG & JPG ) :) Click to enlarge then save to your hard drive.
The warm mottled background reminds me of MORE photos I found on my camera...

...ROSEY!!!!
She is all grown up now and her black/grey areas have added new warm browns and reds... and she has got quite polka spotty... and curly. Rosey is a Shichon... half Bichon Frise and half Shih Tzu... and she is a good mix. This photo was just after a haircut.
Here she is with one of her favourite humans, Nolan:
Boy and his Dog LOL
NEWS:
1. PENCIL this on your calendars people! BLOG HOP this FRIDAY MAY 27th!! :D And we have some wonderful sponsors offering some lovely pretty playthings to win :)
2. If you "have pretties" you sell and would like to sponsor an upcoming blog hop, please email me ( fred.she.said@gmail.com )
3. And I know there has been issues with the CHECKOUT button on my store ( especially with Internet Explorer ) where it magically disappears if you have a FULL cart and have the page zoom set to anything past 150%. IT IS FIXED! If you had problems and you happen to still have problems there are instructions in my STORE FAQ to get the checkout button back.
I found out it was a new BLOGGER template/cart conflict. I reverted to an ancient blog template ( Minima ) to fix it until my file host fixes their cart problem. So all should be good and hopefully there will be a fix soon.
Have a great day!

Rose Stencil Circle digi-freebie
Happy Valentine's Day! I had a few ask about the floral design behind the Ornate Cut-Out Butterfly. Actually, this was a digital experiment I devised in 2006 ( or so it says on my files LOL) - "Digital Peg Stamping" in Paint Shop Pro. I made some small brushes/images, some taken from pieces of public domain rose stencil designs... which I then altered or repainted and also some brushes that I hand drew. The process is alot like real stamping with those little peg stamps. I can "stamp" with a colour, rotate the brush, change the opacity before I "stamp" - so some flowers are lighter and transparent... like you would with real stamping where you make a repeat impression without re-inking. It was alot of fun. I found the print in my stash and thought it would look neat with the butterfly.
I found my old file and took it into Painter and played with the colours to make this DIGI-FREEBIE :) This package has 8 coloured versions.
Here is the original Rose coloured design ( It is also included in the download ):
If you are interested in the technique and have Paint Shop Pro or are handy with similar graphics editors, please leave a comment. If there is enough interest, I might whip up a tutorial and make the brush set available for all you graphics geeks ;)
I hope you all had a wonderful lovey dovey day! I got a heart box of Laura Secord chocolates... yum! ..and a scare at the vets :O.. Rosey pup went in to get her yearly vaccinations and had a severe anaphylactic allergic reaction right there on the vet table... thank goodness there and not at home... she had to get an IV and be put under observation. It was scary! I didn't know how she was for about an hour and a half! But she is her sweet and happy puppy self now whew! Oh how I wuv the little diddums! They can sure tug at your heart strings.

Paper Angels and SVG freebies
UPDATED! DEC 13, I have added GSD files for cutting machines like Craft Robo and Silhouette. See below :)
UPDATED - DOWNLOAD LINKS FIXED.
UPDATE: I have added Carol's original post link, as I can't seem to easily access the original free class. Please see the bottom of her post for the video. The post can be found HERE
Hi everybody! I have been busy making angels! Thanks so much Carol H. for this awesome idea! You can see and participate in a FREE Paper Angel Class at the CDAC - it runs all month long :) I decided to give family and friends angels instead of cards this year.. what was I thinking?! LOL I have to make 15 to 20 and all that cutting and punching... yikes! So I thought I would let my Cricut do the work ;) I attended a webinar for Make the Cut software on how to curve a border strip recently and thought it would be great to make the semi-circle arm and dress templates with fancy trim ( like Carol shows) and I also made some wings while I was at it ;)
Here are some free cutting files and a printable wings template ( if you don't have a digital cutting machine)
Link to the SVG Paper Angel Cutting files is HERE.
NEW! Link to GSD version of these cutting files is HERE.
Link to a Paper Angel Wings PDF to print is HERE. ( just a sheet of wings)
The cutting files are in SVG format and can be used in digital cutting machines that accept SVG files - eg Craft Robo, Silhouette, Cougar, Gazelle and Cricut ( you need special software for the Cricut, two good programs are Make the Cut and Sure Cuts Alot. I used Make the Cut to creat the SVG files.

Paper Roses & Leaves Templates SET
I have just uploaded a new Temple Set.
Those are the shapes available as outline sheets you hand-cut ( also has a leaves sheet and just flowers sheet), or as a digital stencil ( transparent shapes with a solid white background you digitally place on top of coloured or digital paper so just the patterned/coloured shape prints out - no black outline. There are also single images available so you can resize and use to fit your needs. I also included an SVG cutting file sheet to be used in digital cutting machines, as well as sheets and images that are solid black shapes so that you can import/trace in various cutting software and machines.
You can use these like digital stamps but they are more like templates that you print on the wrong side of your paper/cardstock and have DP paper or hand colour the right side after you cut them out. I am in the process of making a tutorial for this card:
For this card, I used an outline sheet and hand cut ( the leaves are actually cut out using pinking scissors but the variegated leaves can be easily cut around with regular scissors) Every thing on this card was coloured with distress inks and sponges and glimmer spray.
Here is a FREEBIE I made using the stencil version of the template sheet:
This set has a gazillion different files.. don't let it scare you LOL.. here is an example of the ready-to-print outline sheet:

You can use these like digital stamps but they are more like templates that you print on the wrong side of your paper/cardstock and have DP paper or hand colour the right side after you cut them out. I am in the process of making a tutorial for this card:
For this card, I used an outline sheet and hand cut ( the leaves are actually cut out using pinking scissors but the variegated leaves can be easily cut around with regular scissors) Every thing on this card was coloured with distress inks and sponges and glimmer spray.
Here is a FREEBIE I made using the stencil version of the template sheet:
Please DOWNLOAD HERE
I used Paint Shop Pro and floodfilled the empty spaces with patterns and colours. Hope you like!
Anyway, I'll be back soon with more info and a tutorial.

My offending ribbon & Monday PICK ME UP
I issued a Fun With Fred challenge last week, in a moment of craziness LOL! You are to use a ribbon you blindly pick out of your stash OR choose one that has been "perplexing" you, like colours you don't normally use, or pattern or it is just CRAZY. It is just for fun, if you would like to "perplex yourself" grab a ribbon, make a project and post it on the FSS Group Comment Wall. Well I chose and it took me a few days to get it together LOL. It DOTH perplexed me!!! The ribbon I chose is in an autumn stripe... these are colours I just don't normally use... ( look around my blog and the various assortment of pastels LOL) Well, it came together in the end... and also leads to this week's MONDAY PICK ME UP. I used a paper I designed but haven't got around to working it into anything. A "petite fleurs" patterned paper. This pack contains 5 little flowery papers. And can be downloaded HERE. ( UPDATE: Link fixed JUNE 2017)
CARD DEETS:
Green background paper is ink brayered to get that soft blocky look then CB embossed. The leaves and paper strip are sponged with distress inks. EK Success border punches and MS butterfly stamp/punch combo, Bosskut daisy leaves die, orange stickles. Perplexing Ribbon... no idea, a gift from a friend. My digital petite fleurs paper in yellow orange. I coloured the Flower with pencils/OMS.
Happy Monday!

CARD Smelling the Cherry Blossoms

Hi! I decided to try and make an easel card. I found the instructions on Splitcoast Stampers. The Cherry Blossoms Paper was printed on matte photo paper and I glue pen embossed an outline around some of the flowers with a gold embossing powder with glitter in it. It just makes the paper look so rich almost like real washi paper. I coloured the girl and blossoms with alcohol markers ( copic and neopiko) and did some highlighting on hair, etc with white pencil and added a shadow with a cream pencil. I used Waterfall Stickles on the sash and flowers. The butterfly is from MS butterfly stamp combo punch. There are 3 green gems ( that didn't photograph well so you can't see them) keeping the card propped up.
I've attached the sentiments in case you would like to use them :)

Have a great day! ... and don't forget to hop around the Blog Hop and get the chance to win some new designs!

CARD DEETS:
I printed a Tie Dyed Cherry Blossom paper on satin photo paper. I used the Fred's Flowers v6 Daisies set for the flower and leaves and coloured with Pencils/OMS. The frame is from the Stained Glass Floral Doodledallion 3 set.. but I just used the paper pricking pattern and cut out. I used some Stampendous Orchid Greeting clear stamps for the swirlies and the Happy Birthday, stickles here and there, a stamen punch, and a MS butterfly/stamp combo punch.
