Sponsoring: Bearly Mine Challenges and a Freebie!

Hi All!

Today Fred She Said is sponsoring the Bearly Mine Challenge Blog, featuring Donna's wonderful digital papers.

Some of the Fred She Said DT are playing along.  The THEME is FLOWERS :)  I thought I would take  a crack at it:

.

I used Donna's FSS/BMD Summer's Roses Paper Set  which can also be found at Donna's store.  The flower and leaves are made from the Build a Floral Spray Digital Cutting File Set.

The Digital Freebie I have today is a TEMPLATE for the rectangular punched frame I used on the card above.  What this is, is a rectangular template ( also cutting files ) with a matted opening in the center.  It is sized perfectly for use with the Martha Stewart's Punch Around The Page punches.  I have included a printable PDF and cutting files in  SVG/GSD/DXF/Silhouette/Vector PDF.  You need the punches though to use with the template!  You can find the FREEBIE HERE (updated JUN/2017 link now works).

REMINDER:  Fred She Said DT Showcase CONTEST is still on ;)  with a $25 GC prize to a lucky commenter!

Have a great day!

new in the STORE

Hey all!

**Reminder... we are currently accepting DT applications :) Click HERE for deets!

Some new things in the store :)...

Donna made another wonderful Paper Set ... Yummy Delights!

I made a Dragonfly Flower Doodledallion Set.  It originated from a dragonfly I had in rubber form from my first foray into rubber stamps.  Here is a card I used the dragonfly on , along with rose and frame from the Ornate Pearl Frame and the Build a Floral Spray cutting sets:

See this frame? I should have a hand cuttable coloured frame set next week :)

I converted the dragonfly to digital and thought that he needed something to land on :)  ... hence a new doodledallion!  This set comes with sentiments, several borders.. and whole bunch of elements.  This set is uncoloured.  Pre-coloured version/s should be available soon ( next week ).

Have a great weekend!

Christmas Glee Digital Paper Set by Bearly Mine Designs

 New in the store:

Donna has made another lovely digital paper set... this time Christmas!  Pretty pretty!  This set coordinates with Christmas Wreath and Winter Flying Birds Sets.

Have a great day and weekend and Labour Day!  Tomorrow is my birthday ( puts on her party hat )!!!!  not really ... this getting older stuff is getting old LOL  I will be 43 but I have thought I was 43 for most of the year ( is it me or is it that the older you get the harder it is to remember exactly how old you are??)  OK I will stick with 40-ish for the next few years and cover my bases ;)

My offending ribbon & Monday PICK ME UP

I issued a  Fun With Fred challenge last week, in a moment of craziness LOL!  You are to use a ribbon you blindly pick out of your stash  OR choose one that has been "perplexing" you, like colours you don't normally use, or pattern or it is just CRAZY.  It is just for fun, if you would like to "perplex yourself" grab a ribbon, make a project and post it on the FSS Group Comment Wall.    Well I chose and it took me a few days to get it together LOL.  It DOTH perplexed me!!!  The ribbon I chose is in an autumn stripe... these are colours I just don't normally use... ( look around my blog and the various assortment of pastels LOL)  Well, it came together in the end... and also leads to this week's   MONDAY PICK ME UP.  I used a paper I designed but haven't got around to working it into anything.  A "petite fleurs" patterned paper.  This pack contains 5 little flowery papers.  And can be downloaded HERE.  ( UPDATE: Link fixed JUNE 2017)

CARD DEETS:
Green background paper is ink brayered to get that soft blocky look then CB embossed.  The leaves and paper strip are sponged with distress inks.  EK Success border punches and MS butterfly stamp/punch combo, Bosskut daisy leaves die, orange stickles.  Perplexing Ribbon... no idea, a gift from a friend.  My digital petite fleurs paper in yellow orange.  I coloured the Flower with pencils/OMS.

Happy Monday!

MONDAY PICK ME UP #5 JAN 18

It's Monday again! New Monday Pick Me Up is posted on the FSS Group.

5 "Tie Dyed" Cherry Blossom Papers. ( actually 10 LOL)

I still have some peeps with webpage loading problems, so I will play 'nice' and share the links here LOL!  (UPDATE June 2017 download links FIXED)

5 - 6"x6" papers can be downloaded HERE

5 - dreamy full letter sized sheets can be downloaded HERE

CARD DEETS:

I printed a Tie Dyed Cherry Blossom paper on satin photo paper. I used the Fred's Flowers v6 Daisies set for the flower and leaves and coloured with Pencils/OMS. The frame is from the Stained Glass Floral Doodledallion 3 set.. but I just used the paper pricking pattern and cut out. I used some Stampendous Orchid Greeting clear stamps for the swirlies and the Happy Birthday, stickles here and there, a stamen punch, and a MS butterfly/stamp combo punch.

Happy Monday!

CARD Red Poinsettia

I made this card with the Poinsettia & Pine Boughs Coloured Sheets and paper from the Christmas Papers 1 2009 pack. A cute little card measuring 4x4" . Before printing I reduced the image to 90% to make it fit the nesties. The flower center is "Flower Center" small craft punch, inked with distress ink, and gold ice Stickles and a gem. Just a little "plug" - I got my floral craft punches from Frantic Stamper... great to deal with and they have just about everything you need! The gold scallop is white CS painted with Krylon Gold Leaf Paint ( Short Cuts)... it is the same stuff as in the Gold Leafing Pen but in a small bottle, I picked it up at a surplus store for a $1 each... what a deal but does this stuff stink! wooooo! TIP, I used a cheap brush from my children's paint sets and I have found out that Krylon paint/pen you can clean up with alcohol hand sanitizer! Or Anirondak Alcohol Blending Solution... that stuff also rocks getting your dried up nib in your leafing pen flowing again :)

I also wanted to add what type of paper I used for printing. Well, the papers I use Epson Photo Quality Inkjet Paper... colours just zing on this! For the poinsettia I used Staples Brochure & Flyer Paper... it's 45 lb I think.. and matte..... looks like regular thin card stock, you can print on both sides as both are coated.. the colours and crisp printing are very good on this. I am sure this is their old ( can't find it now) Staples Matte Photo Paper... it looks like the same stuff and comes in a pack of 150 sheets so I am good to go for awhile!

What a Puddin Pie.... and a card

Well, this weekend ... I did not get much accomplished... we have a good reason ;)

Meet Rosey.....

errr... that is Rosey's bum... that is the first thing I noticed when I met her... the hilarious black patch on her bottom!

This is Rosey...

She is almost 10 weeks and is a Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu cross. She has the softest fluffiest fur with a slight kink to it.. it reminds me of those fuzzy toilet seat covers? ROFL. She is the sweetest button and not very big, but she does have a crazy side and a touch of attention deficit disorder..like all good puppies should. But she knows that crates are for sleeping in and she knows what grass is for ;)

I have completed some coloured designs during the week.. going to upload them tomorrow.

And here is a card....

Made using Fall Flowers Digi Set and a paint spattered digital paper I have in the works. Flower is coloured with pencils/OMS. The frame is white CS embossed with a diamond pattern on the Scor-Pal and inked with Scattered Straw Distress ink and some dots of frosted lace Stickles. Used Spellbinders Labels 4 & Labels 8 and a die from the Fleur de Lis Pendant set. Blue paper is CB embossed. The ribbon is from a box of chocolates I received for my birthday :D

Have a great day!

Card & a Digi-Freebie - Simple Striped Papers

I made some nice simple striped papers, 21 of them, to go with the Polka Dotty Flowers pack. Actually they should go with all the flower collections. ... Actually, stripes go with everything and, depending on their angle, they can be slimming LOL! But anything with dots, definitely could use some stripes. ;)

DOWNLOAD HERE ( note, it's 4 shared.com so you will have to wait for the timer thingy).

(Get this, I zipped a 6 mb folder of papers and the file is only 165 kb! Wow, the magic of compression LOL! - stripes ARE slimming! )

The card was made using some of the striped papers and some BIG Dahlias. The swirly doo-hicky is a work-in-progress, but I am really digging it! Have a great day!

CARD - Emma the Hugger in Blue

Here is another Emma the Hugger card; this time I used some blue mistletoe paper. The embossing was coloured over with a sakura stardust glitter pen. See my bow? Still a bit wonky but better than some previous efforts. Thank you YouTube for letting me search for bow tying videos, and thank you to the generous folks who made the tutorials. {grin}

Have a great day!

By Request : Plain Papers Digi-Freebie

A lovely person ( who enjoys Lace [lac-ay] cutting craft ... you know who you are :) ) emailed me and requested some plain papers to go with the Blossom Kits. She wanted to print them on the back-side of the patterned papers. You know, two-sided paper - so when you do your lace cutting, the color coordinates.

EDIT ( July 15 ) Janet Kay( bspruce on CoC ) made an exquisite example of Lace cutting. I am so glad you liked your plain papers, girlfriend (wink).

Anyhoo, maybe you all would like them. The colours coordinate with the Blue, Pink and Purple Fred's Flower v3 Blossom Kits for sale at the store. They are lightly textured and full sized 8.5x11" sheets 200 ppi resolution. Here are the swatches:

EDIT: Here is the new download link for these papers :) Have a lovely day, now get back to your crafting or blurfing!

Digi-Freebie #4 - Patterned Paper

Please click image to enlarge and save

Yippee! We have reached the half-way point, folks! Over 2,500 hits! Thanks so much, everyone for your support and visits!!

OK, OK, I know it is the same paper but in different colours! LOL I'll try for some more originality next week LOL! I like this one.... in chocolate, my favourite.

Let's discuss: Aero ( with the bubbles), Hershey or Dairy Milk? Dark or Milk chocolate? Personally, I am a Dairy Milk girl... but I have been known to savour the "bubbles" LOL.

Digi-Freebie - Patterned Paper

Please click image to enlarge and save.

Here is a paper I created from a doodle I did today( in one of its various incarnations LOL). It is reduced a bit in size and compression to save bandwidth but it should comfortably print to a full letter sheet. I made a gazillion papers today, just wait till you see what else I made - they are REALLY COOL... but you will have to wait until tomorrow ;) This could get addictive....
