Hi everybody! I have ONE yes ONE new goody in the store LOL! I hope to have a few more this weekend.
The Old Truck Digi & Pre-coloured Set
oooh I love this truck! And I have a little treat for you :) I am slowly figuring out my new video editing software and captured a digital painting in progress! It is sped up I don't paint that fast LOL The techniques I used are basically the way I do it in real life with pencils and OMS. Enjoy!
Blog Hop tomorrow morning! woohoo! Have a great night all!

Pet Portrait - Vega

Isn't he cute?! His name is Vega ( named after a star) and he's a Shih Tzu. This is what kept me from working on flowers last week LOL! I was commisioned this portrait by the highest bidders of a silent auction I donated the service to. The proceeds go to building an observatory at the local Outdoor Education Centre. It will be a great place for the children to check out the night skies! Vega was digitally painted in Corel Painter. I didn't know he was named after a star until after I presented the portrait. If I did, I might have painted a few constellations in the background ROFL! They loved it anyway ;)

Card - Dover Clipart

I coloured a lovely Dover Clipart bouquet with pencils and OMS, and stickles here and there. Notice you can do a nice scrumble effect with pencils shown here on my purple background colour. Just colour little scrumbly circles using very little pressure, then blend with OMS with a circular motion.
Have a great day!

Sweet Colleen

Back in the summer I was asked to take photos of a lovely Golden Lab named Colleen. Colleen was up there in years and the pet's family feared they wouldn't have her much longer. They tried to get professional portraits done but Colleen would get completely stressed out on the ride to the photographer. So I took photos at the front of their home.... over 200! I got a little trigger happy... but she is a beautiful dog and I wanted to make sure I got a special shot. Colleen passed away recently, I was commissioned to make this portrait as a Christmas gift to them. I tried to capture her spirit, soft and lovely...just like Colleen.

Monday, Monday... and a Dancing Daisy

Happy Monday! uggh. 3 more weeks left providing childcare, one more week until school starts and one of the babies came to my door this morning with a rip roaring cold! .... and so the cycle begins.....
On a happier note, here is a doodle design up for rubberstamp consideration LOL! My little happy dancing daisy :) Oh happy times.... and in a happy pink... do regular garden variety daisies come in pink? Alot must be said for artistic license LOL!
Fred shall attempt to make a card today.... she is at the whim of her daycare kids and her temperamental printer though....black seems to be in the clogging mood as of late. This flower and my chocolate paper are beckoning me to "marry" them.
Have a happy Monday all!!

Dover Stained Glass - Coloured
I coloured a Dover Stained Glass image. I love the Dover Stained Glass, especially the butterflies!
If there are any Painter users reading this, FYI, I mainly use the tinting brushes on a gel layer to colour in - soft glazing round and the blender - using several layers for glazing.
Want I do with these is print several on good quality photo paper ( matte looks awesome) and do a 3d decoupage technique, angle the wings a bit to make them flutter off the card :) Please click image to enlarge.
Another note re: getting good print results: I have bought Staples brand matte premium paper - it has a good weight to it and gives vibrant colours and dark blacks with my dye-based Epson photo printer. I hope I can find this paper again when my stash gets low LOL!

Pet Portrait

I finished this painting tonight. I am so happy it is done LOL! This was a beloved dog of dear neighbours of my parents. The dog recently passed away. She was their baby, a wonderful dog, part Rottweiler. I hope they like it. Click the painting to enlarge. I painted from a scanned neighbourhood calendar so I had to basically fudge everything, highlights, eyes, background. They live right on the beach and the background is "me" remembering being there on their beach. Not too hard, I was raised a beach kid LOL! I loved living on Lake Ontario... except during smelt season...ewwww. The look of the water constantly changes. Here is the scan:

Butterflies Medallion Card

Here is a Round Robin card I made recently. It's embellished with iridescent blue twinklers. This design (along with some 'friends') might be in the process of becoming a stamp ;) .
EDIT JUNE 1st: It HAS! Please check out the Butterfly Doodle-Dallions stamp sheet by Tracey Miller at Stamp Attack Art Stamps!

Card - Doodledallion... Great News!

A card I made my husband. I am quite excited about it. It has become a rubberstamp! Yes, a rubberstamp! Carol Clements, the wonderful owner of StampAttack Art Stamps saw my design and thought it would make a great stamp! Please check her out... some lovely stamps to be had there :) I just got my rubber for this , straight from England, and I can't wait to try it. I have a feeling I will be giving my heatgun and my twinkling H2O's a work out. Stay Tuned.

"Emma at the Beach"

I digitally painted this portrait of my daughter for her grandfolk for Christmas. I used two crappy shots I took. I thought the lighting of the two would allow a "realistic" merge. Yep, I made Gramma bawl again LOL! priceless. I am embarrassed to show the original photos but, they show just how far I had to go with this one LOL.... Tracey loves challenges! However, my photography skills need some major work...in my defense, horrible digital camera was used. Just purchased a Canon S3 IS 12x zoom digital camera. I hope to teach myself to use it this year.
